The Dollywood Parade is coming up in less than two weeks and this is a Pigeon Forge event that you are not going to want to miss. The Dollywood parade kicks off the Springfest celebration in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This annual event is marketing its 23rd anniversary this year. Heading the parade is Dolly Parton herself and following her will be many colorful floats, entertainers, marching bands, and local celebrities on the streets of Pigeon Forge, TN.
The Dolly Parade will start on the River Road close to traffic light # 7, and will head north on the Pigeon Forge Parkway until it hits the Belz Factory outlet and traffic light #3. This Parade will begin its festivities at 6:00pm and all the visitors will get a sample of all of the Pigeon Forge fun available for them.
This Parade is a very popular event as we usually expect over 50,000 people to attend each year. I would suggest getting there early and setting up your chairs and blankets in a good spot so that you and your family will be able to catch all the action. You could even make a picnic out of it by bringing food and snacks. You may even want to pick up a pizza to make it even simpler so mom will not have to pack anything. Afterwards you may want to go to marble slab or another ice cream parlor to cool off with. By the time the event is over it will be getting dark so make sure you to hold on to your kids tightly in the crowds.
