Need a great way to beat the Smoky Mountain heat on your vacation this summer? Head to Dollywood’s Splash Country for a summer to remember. With 23 different water rides, several restaurants and snack shops, and summer essentials stores, you’ll have hours and even days of fun at this family-friendly Pigeon Forge attraction!
The park officially opened for the season on May 17 and will be open until September 1, so you have several months to enjoy this fun family destination! Along with the many rides and attractions in the park, with something for every age, Dollywood’s Splash Country offers plenty of places to eat, rest, relax, and shop. So while you’ll have plenty of fun, you’ll also stay rested, hydrated, and full.
When you’re ready to refuel between rides and attractions, Dollywood’s Splash Country offers several restaurants where you and your family can dine or snack. The Campsite Grill features kids’ favorites, including burgers, fries, chicken, and kids’ meals! Sit at a picnic table with your family and enjoy breakfast or lunch here. For a refreshing snack, stop by the Berries and Cream smoothie shop! Cascades Concessions is an all-in-one go-to for your summer time needs, offering ice cream, bottled drinks, sunscreen, and more. Lots of other snack shops throughout the park provides guests with a variety of options, including nachos, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, chili dogs, desserts, and more!
A day at the water park also calls for the summertime essentials. Luckily, you can find all you’ll need at the Trading Post and at Splash & Dash Sundries. Whether you need a new swimsuit for the kids or yourself, sunscreen, beach towels, hats, or sunglasses, you can find it all at these stores in Dollywood’s Splash Country. You can also cool off with ice cream, drinks, and other sweet treats before heading back out into the sun.
Of course, the main reasons to visit Dollywood’s Splash Country are the rides and attractions! Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, River Rush is four drops along four stories of a hydromagnetic ride, weaving through dark, exciting tunnels! Bear Mountain Fire Tower is perfect for kids, with multiple levels, water cannons, lots of interesting water features, and seven slides! Downbound Float Trip is great for those who want to relax and see what the park has to offer. Stay cool as you float along the more than 1,500 feet of “river” before enjoying the 200-foot waterfall along this ride!
At Little Creek Falls, kids can hang out and play in the water. Little Creek Falls provides a shaded area and there are seven canopies that can be reserved as well. Children under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult during play time here. A family-friendly ride that takes passengers down a 700-foot-long riveting waterslide, Raging River Rapids is tons of fun. Guests will enjoy a whitewater-like experience as they careen down the slide at top speeds. Another fun part of the park is the Cascades, an 8,000-square-foot lagoon style pool. This part of the park has a seating area, an active geyser, interactive elements, and giant cascading waterfalls! Families will also love the 12 waterside retreats and 9 waterside canopies available for rent here. At the waterside retreats, families can stay cool while ordering food, relaxing, and resting between rides.
After an exciting day at the park, you’ll want a comfortable, cool place to relax at night.
