Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg go hand in hand. From the attractions, dinner shows and entertainment in Pigeon Forge to the downtown strip and nightlife in Gatlinburg, the two towns offer different things to do for all families. When you’re visiting in Pigeon Forge, take a trip over to Gatlinburg and quench your thirst by embarking on the Smoky Mountain Throw Down!
Launched in June, this beer, wine and moonshine tour is designed to give 21 and up adults a taste of the best Gatlinburg has to offer. On the Smoky Mountain Throw Down, you will visit five of Gatlinburg’s restaurants and wineries best known for their spirits!
The tour works like this – you stop by any participating brewery, distillery or winery to pick up your “passport.” Your passport entitles you to a FREE sample of the finest alcohol the location has to offer! After you have enjoyed your sample, have your server stamp your card and head to the next location.
With five locations total, you can visit them all in one day or spread your visits out over your trip. Make sure you save the card – at the end of your journey you will receive a free t-shirt from your last stop. Talk about a souvenir!
Gatlinburg locations include the Smoky Mountain Brewery, Sugarland Cellars, Bootleggers Homemade Wine, the Smoky Mountain Winery, and Ole Smoky Moonshine.
Don’t like to drink? No problem – you can participate to! Simply make a purchase at all of the locations to snag your free t-shirt.
To participate in the Smoky Mountain Throw Down, you must be 21 or older and must have a valid photo identification. You are encouraged to drink responsibly and enjoy your time out with friends and family!
