Spend mornings at Misty Mountain Retreat enjoying the peace of the mountains. Brew yourself a cup of coffee in the fully equipped kitchen and make your way to a nice seat on the deck. Watch the sun rise over the mountains and breathe in the fresh mountain air before a big day. There are rocking chairs and a porch swing, or you can climb into the bubbling hot tub to get your muscles ready for a big hike!
Inside, prepare a hearty breakfast, relax in front of the big screen TV that also has DVD/Blu-ray players for movies, cozy up in front of the fireplace, surf the Wi-Fi, or head to the rec room to play foosball, air hockey, pool, and arcade games. There is also a gas grill for cooking out, a washer/dryer, and a flat, paved driveway with parking for 4-6 and room for a trailer.
At night, guests can enjoy some rest in the welcoming bedrooms. There are 3 king-size beds, 2 queen-size beds, 2 twin-size bunk beds, 2 full-size sleepers, and a pack ‘n play for the younger ones. Living Room
Welcome to Misty Mountain Retreat! The living room invites you to kick up your feet and unwind after a long drive or a big day in town. Enjoy beautiful mountain and tree-studded views through the floor-to-ceiling windows as you relax. Flip on the TV and pop a movie in the DVD player or Blu-ray player for a fun night in. You can easily pop some popcorn or grab a drink in the nearby kitchen, making it a true movie night in your private cabin!
Large leather sofas offer plenty of seating, and there are two coffee tables so you can pile up snacks and drinks. You can cozy up in front of the fire on a cool day or turn on the ceiling fans to keep the room cool. And don’t forget to bring your favorite card games or board games to play!
Kitchen
Misty Mountain Retreat has all your meal and snack needs covered, with a kitchen that’s well equipped to take care of the group. Brew some coffee with a class coffeemaker or a Keurig, pop some bread or bagels in the toaster, and keep ingredients fresh in the refrigerator. You’ll also have an oven with a stovetop for meals, along with an island for prep space or a buffet of snacks! Oh, and don’t forget about the dishwasher that will make cleanup easy.
Dining Area
It’s time to gather with friends and family in the cabin – around the dinner table. The dining table is next to the kitchen and offers space for 8. There are 4 more seats at the bar, and if you have a full house, guests can spread out into the living room or on the deck! Enjoy pre-hike breakfasts, pizza lunches, or big holiday meals together here.
After mealtime is over, clear the table and break out the board games! It’s the perfect spot for playing around! Or you can use this to do homeschool while you’re away, catch up on some work, or do a puzzle on a rainy day in the cabin.
Bedrooms
It’s bedtime, and every guest will have a welcome place to call it a night. The 5 bedrooms are cozy spaces that feature a nice mix of bedding for guests. There are 2 king-size beds, 2 queen-size beds, 2 twin bunk beds, and 2 full sleeper sofas in all. The rooms are classic mountain retreats, with wood walls, TVs, lamps for late-night reading, and dressers so guests can unpack.
Treat yourself to an early night of resting and watching TV, enjoy a great afternoon nap in the privacy of your cabin bedroom, or sleep late and enjoy the slower pace on a mountain vacation.
Rec Room
There is plenty of entertainment at Misty Mountain Retreat for both kids and adults. Head downstairs to play in the rec room, which features a pool table and a foosball table for some game-time fun. The rec room also has a classic arcade console, which will offer nostalgia for the gaming pros and a new challenge for the kiddos. An electric fireplace makes the room feel extra cozy, and there is a high-top table for drinks and snacks. The room also has a flatscreen TV, so you can watch shows as you play around and hang out in this fun space!
Outdoor Spaces
Enjoy beautiful mountain views in the outdoor spaces at Misty Mountain Retreat. Nothing beats relaxing in a rocking chair with the sights, sounds, and smells of the mountains surrounding you. Chat with a friend in the porch swing, enjoy a quiet morning to yourself in the rocking chairs, or treat yourself to a soak in the bubbling outdoor hot tub.
Another great outdoor amenity is the grill. You can easily cook some burgers, steaks, kabobs, or fresh-caught fish on your gas grill at the cabin. And with a fully equipped kitchen inside, you’ll be able to prepare just about any meal you can think of!
Other Amenities
Stay on top of laundry while you’re away with a washer/dryer in the cabin. If you’re traveling with small kids, the cabin also offers a pack ‘n play for your convenience. You can check out our blog using the high-speed internet in the cabin, and the driveway is flat, paved, and motorcycle friendly!
