The holiday season is a magical time in the city of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas upon the horizon, families are flocking from far and wide to spend their winter vacations in this Smoky Mountain town.

December 1stSevierville’s 50th Annual Christmas Parade
Attend Sevierville’s 50th Annual Christmas Parade! Filled with baton twirlers, pageant winners, marching bands and, of course, decorated floats and Santa Claus, this parade will get you and your family right into the holiday spirit. The parade begins at 11:00am and is best viewed on Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville.

December 1st and 2ndGreat Smoky Christmas Arts and Crafts Show
The Great Smoky Christmas Arts and Crafts Show will be presented at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Handcrafted Christmas items and gifts will be available for purchase, all handmade by local Gatinburg and Pigeon Forge residents. Snag a gift for someone else, or a beautiful wreath to decorate your home!

December 7th – Gatlinburg’s 37th Annual Christmas Parade
Gatlinburg’s 37th Annual Christmas Parade will begin at 7:30pm on the downtown Parkway. Drawing in about 80,000 visitors, you will want to arrive early to get the best seats in the house! This magical event is one of the most anticipated events in the Smoky Mountains.

December 8th and 9thHoliday on Ice
Head over to Ober Gatlinburg to watch some talented skaters take on the ice! Held at the Ober Gatlinburg ice arena, local skaters showcase their skills to the sound of holiday tunes.

December 9th – Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk
Have you ever seen Santa run a half marathon? Well now you can! Beginning at 8:00am, this Second Annual Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk makes this event one that everyone can participate in. Every participant receives a free Santa hat, beard, and dri-fit shirt with registration. The extravagant decorations, festive music, and huge after party make this 5K one for the record books!

Every Saturday in December
Head to the Titanic Museum Attraction at 7:00pm every Saturday in December to experience real snow! Real snow will be blown off the bow of the ship-shaped museum, while spectators are able to watch and play (for free!) in the parking lot. The entire museum, both inside and out will be decorated in festive holiday lights, so don’t forget your camera to capture this unique experience.

Don’t miss the Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights at Patriot Park! Millions of holiday lights will be on display, twinkling and beckoning you into the holiday spirit. Board the trolley and enjoy your care-free ride – pick ups and drop offs all take place at Pigeon Forge’s Patriot Park!

December 31stGatlinburg’s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks
Ring in the New Year at Gatlinburg’s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks display at the Gatlinburg Space Needle. Celebrate with thousands of Gatlinburg-lovers for a beautiful fireworks display and lots of fun!
