Who doesn’t love a great seafood dinner? While you may think Pigeon Forge is only for country style, home cooking, the mountain town actually offers a special gem of a restaurant that is one of our favorites in the area. Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet is known for it’s friendly service and tasty food that will leave you thinking that you are sitting ocean side!
The famous seafood buffet is served with or without all you can eat crab legs – quite a dilemma for the seafood lover! The fresh buffet offers all of your dockside favorites, with hushpuppies, soup, beverages and dessert brought to your table for you. Some of our favorite buffet items include crab cakes, baked oysters, coconut shrimp, seafood pasta and fried catfish. The stuffed flounder and steamed crawfish are also delicious, while the baked chicken and chicken tenders will delight those in your group that aren’t a fan of the fresh catches.
The sides at Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet are to die for, with choices including coleslaw, pasta salad, green beans, macaroni and cheese and twice baked potatoes. Don’t forget to grab a few of the melt-in-your-mouth yeast rolls…we promise you will be back for “just one more!”
Don’t like the buffet experience? No problem – Captain Jim’s also boasts a menu! Special orders are welcome and the chef in the kitchen will be happy to cook you up a custom entree. Menu items include delights such as lemon pepper tilapia, fresh ribeye, seafood platters and North Carolina spicy calabash shrimp. Try some of their appetizers – our favorite is the mussels steamed in white wine!
Traveling with a large group? Captain Jim’s is ideal for groups of any size, with the restaurant seating up to 250 guests. Captain Jim’s offers group rates for weddings, reunions, business meetings and youth retreats. Dependent on the size of your group, Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet will even open the restaurant just for you for breakfast of lunch! A private meal is ideal for business gatherings or church groups.
