Here are 10 of our favorite ways you can celebrate Labor Day when you stay in a Pigeon Forge, TN Cabin:

1) Classic Cookout at the Cabin
This is the most budget-friendly way to spend Labor Day while having an absolute blast, especially if you are in the Smokies with friends and family in a large lodge. Our Pigeon Forge cabins include fully loaded kitchens, many with grills (charcoal or gas). All you need to bring is your favorite grillin’ grub! Pack your fave outdoor games to play on the deck or out in the yard while y’all enjoy growlers full of crisp locally brewed beers from Smoky Mountain Brewery.

2) An Adventure Down the Rapids
Stay cool in the fresh mountain waters and paddle your way along the class III and IV rapids of the Pigeon River on an exciting whitewater rafting trip with WildWater! Make your last day of summer memorable by taking on swirling rapids with names like Lost Guide and Double Reactionary and hold onto your t-grip or ask your guide to “ride the bull” on the front of the raft! WildWater Rafting Company also has fun extras like ziplining, a picnic pavilion, and sand volleyball court. Make a day out of your adventures on the Upper Pigeon River rapids!

3) Picnic and Playing in the River
Located just outside of Gatlinburg, Mynatt Park is an absolutely lovely area with shade, picnic lots with tables and grills, and a babbling stream where the kids can splash and play while burgers sizzle on the grill. Mynatt Park is located outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park boundaries, so bring your 4-legged family members (with a leash) to play while you are vacationing in one of our pet-friendly cabins in the Smokies.
